NIAGARA FALLS — Emmy Lou (Winn) Miller, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at her home. She was 75. She was born in Niagara Falls on July 14, 1937, a daughter of the late Garnet D. and Isabel (Lum) Winn. She attended local schools and graduated from the former LaSalle High School on Buffalo Avenue.
Mrs. Miller was an animal lover who also loved flowers and being outdoors. She was an accomplished dancer and graduate of the Arthur Murray Dance School, and she enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars.
Mrs. Miller is survived by her four children, John G. (Michelle) Miller of Chandler, AZ, Wade Miller of Atlanta, GA, Susan Miller and Elizabeth (Joseph) Petrie of Niagara Falls. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Sam and Jessana Miller of Chandler, AZ; and four nieces. She was predeceased by her husband, John L. Miller (1999) after 39 years of marriage; and her brother, William Winn.
There will be no prior visitation and burial will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery in the Town of Lewiston. Flowers and cards of condolence can be sent to The Miller Family, care of Mrs. Elizabeth Petrie, 541-74th Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
