  Niagara Gazette - 12/1/1936 LEWISTON, Dec, 1.-Mrs. Mary Anne Carpenter Currie, 58 years old, of First street, this village, died yesterday afternoon at the Memorial hospital, Niagara Falls, of pneumonia. She was a patient there since Thanksgiving. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Lewis- ton and had spent her entire life here. About 35 years ago she married Herbert Currie, who died six years ago. She attended the Lewlston Presbyterian church and was an active member of the Ladles' Aid society of that church. She was a member of Blue Blue Bell Rebekah lodge. No. 221. Mrs. Currie is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Florence Piper and Mrs. Emily Eves, and Mrs. Lillian Blackmore, of Niagara Falls; one son, Fred Currie, at home; two brothers, Sylvester and Frank Carpenter, both of Lewlston, and eight grandchil- ren. The funeral services will be from the Hardlson and Beatty funeral home, Niagara Falls, Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be In Memorial Park cemetery, Military road. The Rev. Gordon A. Newfang will officiate. The Rebekahs will have charge of the services at the grave.
