Somerset-Barker, Aug 23 - The home
of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Rhodes
of East avenue, Barker, was the scene
of a quiet but pretty wedding on Sat-
urday, August 13, at 12 o'clock, which
their youngest daughter, Doris M., was
united in marriage with Delbert a.
Wass, also of Barker. The Rev. J.
Wesley Scarles performed the cere-
mony, using the double ring service.
Only the immediate families and grand-
parents were present. Attending the
bridal couple were Miss Ruth Sahr of
Appleton as bridesmaid and Reuben
W. Hahn of Martinsville, cousin of the
groom, who acted as best man. The
bride was tastefully gowned in tur-
quoise blue crepe de chine with silver
trimmings and carried a bouquet of
bride roses and valley lillies. The
bridesmaid wore a dainty frock of pink
and carried vari-colored sweet peas.
The wedding march was rendered by
Miss Mabel Kaegles at the piano as
the bridal party took their places be-
fore an arch of evergreen entwined
with flowers Miss Kaegles also gave
several piano solos during the delicious
three-course dinner which followed,
covers being laid for twelve at the
bride's table which was centered with
shaded pink and white dahilas After
an eastern motor trip Mr. and Mrs.
Wass will be at home in Barker.
