BURT, Jan. 11 - Mrs. Ruth
Hillman, Burt, and Mrs. Elmer
Kneeple, Lewiston, were hostesses
to more than 50 relatives and
friends at dinner at Green Acres
honoring the 50th wedding anniversary
of their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Schultz.
Mr. and Mrs. Schultz were married
on a typical, winter day, Jan
6, 1904. The ceremony was performed
at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, North Ridge, with the
Rev. Edward Hahn, pastor, officiating.
The attendants were Miss Ella
Grose, Sophia Schultz,. now Mrs.
William Seivert, Mr. Seivert, who
were present for the occasion. Miss
Clara Grose, now Mrs. Lewis Donner,
and Mr. Donner, who were
unable to be present, also attended
the bride and bridegroom.
Mrs. Schultz was before her
marriage, Emmeline Grose, daughter
of John and Agusta Grose, Ran-
somville.
30 Years on Homestead
Mr. Schultz was the son of
Charles and Mary Clory Schultz,
also of Ransomville. They spent
30 years on the Schultz homestead,
North Ridge, and the last 20 years
on the Coomer Rd., Town of Newfane.
Both are enjoying good
health.
They have two daughters, Mrs.
Hillman, at home, and Mrs.
Kneeple, Lewiston; four grandchildren,
Mrs. Robert Marshall, Niagara
Falls, Elwood Hillman, Lockport,
Mrs. L. Zastrow, Newfane,
and Robert Kneeple, Lewiston, and
four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Schultz has four brothers
and four sisters, John and Elmer
Grose, .Niagara Falls; Waldemar,
North Ridge, near Ransomville;
Wilbert Grose and Miss Ella Grose
Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Lewis Donner,
Hummel-Wharf, Pa.; Mrs. Hart
Lester, Ransomville, and Mrs. Julia
Pedley, Lockport.
Mr. Schultz has one sister, Mrs.
Mary K. Frasier, Burt, and one
brother, Walter Schultz, Lockport.
Cake Centers Table
A three-tiered wedding cake.
topped with a miniature bride and
bridegroom, centered the table at
which the bridal party was seated
-with-the-Rev, and-Mrs. L. A.
Kinne, pastor of the Lutheran
Church, Newfane. Low vases of
yellow and white mums were at
either end.
The honor guests were the recipients
of many lovely cards, gifts
and money in observance of the occasion.
Guests were present from
Detroit, Niagara Falls, Lockport,
Ransomville, Lewiston, W i l s o n,
Newfane and Burt. Mr. and Mrs.
Schulz will soon take up residence
i n t h e i r new home, Lockport-Olcott
Rd.
