A Mass of the Resurrection was
celebrated today at St. John the
Baptist Church, Town of Tonawanda.
for retired paving contractor Dennis
Thomann, 85, who died Friday in
Sheridan Manor Nursing Home.
Burial was at Mount Olivet
Cemetery.
Mr. Thomann who formerly resided
at 291 Northwood Drive, worked in the
hotel business and landscaping until
1930. Then he set up the Thomann
Asphalt Paving Co., which paved
private drives and streets with asphalt
hauled from Stafford, NY. He retired
in 1954,
He is survived by his wife, the
former Mary Katherine Fournaise; a
sister, Julia, of Strasbourg, France; a
brother, Albert, of Kenmore; three
sons, Joseph of Port Charlotte, Fla..
Dennis oF Amherst, and Bernard of the
Town of Tonawanda; three daughters,
Mrs Donald Rohring and Mrs. Oscar
Roland, both of the town, and Mrs.
George Hall of Amherst: 43
grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren,
