TOWN OF NIAGARA — Donald E. Hall, of the Town of Niagara, entered into rest after a brief illness on Monday, October 10, 2011, at home while receiving care form Niagara Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. He was 75. He was born in Smithfield, PA, on November 16, 1935, a son of the late Cephas and Florence (Hardenstein) Hall.
Mr. Hall was employed as a truck driver for over 42 years. His employers include Fornco, based out of Lancaster, and retired from Armand Cerrone, Niagara Falls in 2001. He was an avid NY Yankees and NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon and the late Alan Kulwicki.
Don is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce (LaBove) Hall; five sons, Carl, Don, Jr. (Margaret), Curtis, Jeffery and David (Carol) Hall; a daughter, Justine Kott (Robert); nineteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Hall and Jim (Kathie) Hall; two sisters, Doris Heshke and Lillian Tierney (Herb Porter); sisters and brother-in-law, Evangelin, Grace Lillian, Kathy and James Conklin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers, Nathaniel, George, Kenny, Cephas and Louis; and two sisters, Rose Strope and Mary Conklin.
Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where services will be held at 8 PM. Interment will be held privately in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials, if desired, may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14092.
