WILSON. July 15-The marriage of
Miss Ruth C. Rohring. daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rohring,
of
Wilson, to Mr. James C. Shaffer,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Clair J.
Shafferson. of Rockton. Pa., was
solemnized at 4 o'clock Saturday
afternoon. July 12. at St. Peter's
Evangelical Lutheran church
North Ridge. The Rev. Carl W
Oldach officiated at the double
ring ceremony.
The bride, given In marriage by
her father, wore a gown of bridal
satin with a beaded neckline and
bodice. Her fingertip veil fell from
a tiara of orange blossoms and she
carried a bouquet of white roses.
Miss Jane Shaffer, sister of the
groom, was maid fo honor. She
wore a gown of powder blue mar-
quisette and carried an arm bou-
quet of pink roses. The bridesmaids
were Miss Eleanor Donner, who
wore pink satin with net skirt, Mrs.
Donald Rohring, who wore aqua
satin with net skirt, and Miss Jean-
ette Schuman, who wore yellow
satin with net skirt. they all car-
ried colonial bouquets of roses. The
flower girl was Miss Judy Schoon-
ens. She wore white satin and car-
ried a colonial bouquet.
The ring bearer was Carlton
Demmin. Mr. Everette Pike was
best man. The ushers were Mr.
Walter Rohring Jr., Mr. Donald
Rohring, brothers of the bride, and
Mr. Robert Shaffer, brother of the
groom. The coloist was Mr. Del-
bert Schultz, cousin of the bride,
who sang, "Today, O Lord," and
"The Twenty-Third Psalm." Mrs.
Delbert Schultz was the organist.
After the ceremony, dinner was
served to the bridal party at the
Samovar at Niagara Falls. A re-
ception was held in the evening at
the home of the bride's parents for
115 guests.
Out of town guests attended from
Rockton, Buffalo. Niagara Falls.
Tonawanda, Lockport and Ransomvllle.
After a wedding trip through the
New England states, the couple will
reside at Niagara Falls.
