  Niagara Gazette - 3/17/1938 Claude M. Bacon, of Lewlston, father of Patrolman Erwin P. Bacon, of the Falls police department, died last night in Memorial hospital after two weeks' illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the family home at Second street and Center avenue, Lewlston, and burial will be in Oakwood cemetery, this city. Mr. Bacon was a native of Oregon and came to this city many years ago. He was 64 years old. A baker, he was employed for 32 years by the Shredded Wheat company and Its successor, the National Biscuit company. Besides his son in this city, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Catherine Bacon, of Lewlston.
