NEWFANE - Mrs. Martha
L. Sahr Wagner, 86, of 5968
Main St., Olcott, a lifelong
resident of Niagara County,
died in Ithaca Thursday night
(May 7, 1964) after a lengthy
illness. She had been living at
the home of a son in Ithaca
the last few months.
Born March 24, 1878, in
North Tonawanda, she was a
daughter of Johannes and
Christine Ganow Sahr. Her
husband, Frederick J. Wagner,
died in 1941. She was a
charter member of St. John's
Lutheran Church, Drake Settlement
Road, and of the
Ladies Aid Society at the
church.
Survivors include two sons,
Elwood C. Wagner, Ithaca,
and Frederick G. Wagner,
Burbank, Calif.; four sisters,
Mrs. Mathilda Volschow, Newfane,
Mrs. Mary Stolzensberg,
Olcott, Mrs. Frank (Gertrude)
Seelow and Mrs. Dora Bendt,
both of Lockport; a brother,
George Sahr, Newfane; two
grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday,
friends may call at their
convenience at the Kenneth
H. Sherrie Funeral Home,
Newfane, where services will
be held at 2 p.m. Monday,
Rev. William Dallmah of St,
John's Church officiating. Burial
will be in Corwin Ceme
tery.
