RANSOMVILLE - Charles
R. Denny. 58, of 3569 S. Lake
St, a general foreman at
Stauffer Chemical Co., Niagara
Falls, died of a heart attack
Tuesday night (Feb. 26,
1963) while working. He had
been employed for 37 years
and was a foreman for 27
years.
Mr. Denny was born in Big
Stone Gap, Va.. on Christmas
.Day in 1904 and served with
the 28th Infantry at Ft. Niagara.
He held the world's record
as a machine gun operator
in the l&20*s. He had lived
here for 37 years and was a
member of the Ransomville
Volunteer Fire Co. and former
fire commissioner.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Doris Ricker Denny; three
sons, Charles H. Denny, Ransomville,
Donald and Harold
Denny, Youngstown; a daughter,
Mrs; Edward Schrader,
this community; his mother,
Mrs. Margaret Johnson, Appleton;
two brothers, Lee
Denny, Burt, and J o s e ph
Denny, Appleton, and 20
grandchildren.
, Services wilt be conducted
at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hardi-
son Funeral Home, S. Lake
Street, by Rev.' Orrin Carroll.
Burial will be in North
Ridge Cemetery. The family
said donations to the Ran
somville Fire Co. Ambulance
Fund will be acceptable as
tributes.
