NORTH TONAWANDA — Elizabeth H. (nee Grzebinski) Zuba of North Tonawanda, entered into eternal life on October 26, 2011.
Mrs. Zuba held a Bachelor's Degree from Fredonia State College and a Master's Degree from Canisius College, teaching music, primarily in North Tonawanda from 1950-1984. For many years she was a cellist with the Ken-Ton Symphony Orchestra and the Niagara Symphony Orchestra. She also was a music instructor for the Polish National Alliance Lodge 395. She loved to play the piano and organ, especially the Polish Christmas songs and the old hymns.
She was the cherished wife of the late John E. Zuba; dearest mother of David Zuba of North Tonawanda, Amy (Richard) Manns of Lockport; beloved grandmother of Nathaniel John Manns; sister of John (Winifred) Grzebinski of North Tonawanda, Bernard (Ruth) Grzebinski of Switzerland and Frances Childs of Florida; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Stella Cohen, Adam Grzebinski, Florence Middleton, Mary Grzebinski, Leonarda Cyran and Josephine Lisowski.
The family will be present to greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Colucci Funeral Home, 652 Oliver Street (692-4917), North Tonawanda, where prayers will be offered on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 8:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Czestochowa R.C. Church, 626 Oliver Street, North Tonawanda.
