Schumacher, age 67, of the Town of Wheatfield, Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at his residence, after a lengthy illness. David was a Vietnam War Air Force veteran and also served with the Civil Air Patrol. He was a member of the Gratwick Hose Fire Company and the Volunteer Firemen's Benevolent Association. He served as an emergency medical technician for five years. He worked as a maintenance electrician for National Grinding Wheel in North Tonawanda and then 3M Ocello in Tonawanda, retiring in 2012. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and NASCAR racing. Beloved husband of Bernadette (Schade) Schumacher; dear father of David Schumacher of Moorsville, NC, Kimberly (Dominick) Valery of Denver, NC, and Jonathan and Deeann Schumacher, both of the Town of Wheatfield; grandfather of Stephanie, Jenna, Kayti, Maria, Veronica, Sonny, Kadyn, Carson, Gage, Peyton and Page; brother of Edwin (Kelly) Schumacher of Gasport. Also survived by many nieces and nephews; nephew of June Schumacher and Leona (Robert) Schroeder, both of North Tonawanda, and Marie Schumacher of the Town of Wheatfield. Friends may call Friday at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A funeral service will begin at 8 PM. The Rev.
