  Utica NY Daily Press - 7/27/1961 Ilion-Mrs. Arthur Slocum, 53. of 100 E. Main St., Ilion, and the Town of Ohio, died yesterday in the Ilion Hospital. She_was born in Forestport the daughter of Burt and Anna Ubdegrove, Sallom. She married Arthur Slocum in 1960. Mrs. Slocum attended the Methodist Church. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons by a previous marriage. Walter Schumacher, Chicago, and Gordon J. Schumacher. Utica. and a daughter by a previous marriage, Mrs. Roy Miller, Gray. She also leaves two stepsons. Fred Slocum, Newport, and Robert Ilion; three stepdaughters Mrs Michael Leonis. West Winfield; Mrs Larry Zogby. Utica, and Mrs. Arthur Crouch, Ohio, four sisters. Mrs. Laverne Smith. Poland; Mrs. Joseph Baister, Ava; Mrs. Edwin Geroux, Prospect and Mrs. Irene Mc- Cluskey. Chicago The funeral will be at 2 Saturday from the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport with the Rev. Gerome Markowski, pastor of Cold Brook Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery. Forestport. . Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today and tomorrow.
