  Niagara Gazette - 3/11/1966 MIDDLEPORT - A retired farmer, Irving R. S t a h l , 54, d i e d unexpectedly Thursday (March 10, 1966) at the Walpine Hotel, Lockprt, after suffering a heart attack. He had lived at the hotel for the last two years. Born Sept. 24, 1911, in the Town of Royalton, he was the son of Rudolph and Bertha Pittler Stahl. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European theater of operations. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Vernon F. Childs, Town of Royalton, Mrs. Leslie Hodgins, Middleport, and Mrs. Frank Hernberger, Newfane; a brother, Elwood W Stahl, Town of Royalton; also several nieces and nephews. Friends may .call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Wallace and Heath F u n e r a l Home, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Carlton Fausett of Royalton Center Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery
