Age 85 of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, at his residence under the care of Hospice. Husband of 62 years to Wendy S.(nee Taylor) Mangrum, father of Michelle (David) Legried and Scott (Lynda)Mangrum, grandfather of Bryan (Megan), Maxwell (Kimberly) and Kayla (Wesley Ham) Mangrum, great grandfather of Wyatt, Adelaide, Ferguson, Jasper and Samuel, son of the late Guilford and Edna Mangrum, brother of Barbara (late Rupert) Zellner and the late Martha (late Rodney) Hall and the late George (living spouse Tibby) Mangrum and brother in law of Donna (late Robert) Mileham. Also survived by nieces and nephews. John was a 1957 graduate of Tonawanda High School and also attended University of Buffalo. He was a US Army Veteran serving in Germany during the Vietnam Era. John was a member and former President of the Kiwanis Club, a member of Sikora Post 1322 American Legion and also Vietnam Veterans Chapter 77. There will be no prior visitation. A private service for John's family and friends will be held at a later date in WNY National Cemetery, Corfu, NY.
