  Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 9/12/1919 Mrs. Elisabeth W. Hoffmeister, aged 72 years, widow of David J. Hoffmeister, a resident of Lockport for a half century, died suddenly at 11 o'clock at her late residence. No. 240 Niagara street, from heart trouble. Deceased had not been in good health for several years, but was able to be around her home. Mrs. Hoffmeister was born at Fahrenwalde, Germany, and coming to this country a young girl, took up her residence at Bergholtz, where she married and later moved to Lockport. She was an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Saxton street and a charter member of the Ladies' Aid Society of that church. She is survived by four sons, William J., David W., Fred, Albert, and two daughters. Rose C. and Alma Hoffmeister, all of this city. Funeral services will be held from her late home at 1:30 p m. Monday, with services at Trinity Church at 2 p. m. and interment at German Lutheran Cold Springs cemetery.
