  Niagara Gazette - 4/25/1972 NORMAN TOENNIESSEN LOCKPORT - Norman C. Toenniessen, 76 of 6058 Strauss Road, Town of Lockport, died today (April 25, 1972) at Lockport Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A native of the Town of Wilson, he was born March 13, 1896, the son of Julius and Anna Israel Tonniessen. He had been employed by the Harrison Radiator Division.of General Motors Corp. for 34 years, retiring 14 years ago. He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church and had lived at the Strauss Road address for 46 years. He is survived by his widow, Loretta Toenniessen; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Joyce) Bull of Lockport; two brothers, Albert of Wilson and Julius Toenniessen of Niagara Falls; and four grandchildren. Beginning at 7 p.m. today, friends may call at their convenience at the Lange Funeral Home, 186 East Ave will be present from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Lee M. Miller of the First English Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in North Ridge Cemetery.
