Lockport. Apr. 23-Dorothy Tatu,
4-year-old daughter or Mrs. Emma
Tatu of Olcott, 12 miles north of
here, was killed Instantly at 2
o'clock this afternoon whan struck
by an automobile driven by Mrs.
Pearl Sampson of Olcott while
crossing a street In the lakeside
village.
The child had just purchased a
package of cookies from a bakery
wagon and was running with the
cookies clutched tightly in her
hand when struck. Dr. F. T. Car
mer, coroner, learned. Mrs Sampson
claimed the child ran directly
is front of her car.
Tha coroner will conduct an inquest
at his office Thursday evening
at 8 o'clock. B e s i d e s her
mother, the child leaves her grandparents
Mr. and Mra. John Tatu
of Olcott.
