BARKER - Malcolm L. "Andy" Anderson, of Barker, NY, husband of Joan Wass Anderson, entered into rest on Friday, November 25, 2011 in Medina Memorial Hospital. He was born in Johnson's Creek, Town of Hartland, NY, on June 7, 1926, the son of the late A. Frederick and Elizabeth Leith Anderson.
Malcolm was a WW II Army veteran, who served his country from 1944-1946. He worked at Harrison Radiator in Lockport in the Engineering Wind Tunnel for 37 years, retiring in 1991. Malcolm and his wife just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 20, 2011. Member of Faith United Methodist Church in Barker and he enjoyed owning and restoring classic Jeeps, his 1941 and 1952.Father of Dana (Deborah) Anderson of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Lynne (Gregory) Nellist of Medina, NY, Lisa (Scott) Becker of Sarasota, FL and Delbert (Cynthia) Anderson of Barker, NY. Grandfather of Erin Anderson, Alicia Shaffer, Rachel Anderson, Krista Nellist, Tara Poss and Erica Posey. Great grandfather of Roland and Leith Shaffer, Lillian Pohl and Cal Herb. Brother of Shirley Jenks of Texas and the late Marshall and Richard Anderson.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1708 Pallister Ave., Barker, NY, on MONDAY from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial services will be held on TUESDAY at 11:00 AM in the Faith United Methodist Church, 1449 Quaker Road Barker, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Faith United Methodist Church 1449 Quaker Road Barker, NY 14012 or Roswell Park Cancer Institute PO Box 631 Buffalo, NY 14240-0631 would be appreciated by the family.
