TONAWANDA - Arthur E.
Ekins, 69, of 16 Park Ave., died
Wednesday (Oct. 7, 1970) at
his residence after a long illness.
Funeral service will be conducted
at 1:30 p.m. Saturday
at the Roth Funeral Home by
Rev. Canon Alexander Corti.
Burial will be in White Chapel
Memorial Park.

Born in Thorold, Ont., he had
been a resident of Tonawanda
for more than 45. years and had
been employed at Spaulding
Fibre Co. for 37 years before
retiring four years ago. He was
a member of St. Mark's
Episcopal Church; past master
of Tonawanda Lodge 247,
F&AM, and member of the
Pellowcraft Club; past royal
patron of Twin City Court 141
and past assistant grand lecturer
of the State of New York,
Order of the Amaranth;
member of Ancient Accepted
Scottish Rite Valley of Buffalo;
Niagara River Lodge 527,
IOOF; Enterprise Encampment
88, IOOF; Lebanon Shrine
3, Order of the White Shrine of
Jerusalem, Buffalo, and the
Foreman's Club of Spaulding
Fibre Co.
He is survived by his wife,
Alice (nee Vigrass) Ekins; two
daughters, Miss Marjorie P.
Ekins of North Tonawanda and
Mrs. Wilbert (Virginia)
Ostwald of Tonawanda; a son,
Charles W. Keyes of Tonawanda;
a sister, Miss Jessie
Ekins, and a brother, W. Earle
Ekins, both of Thorold; six
grandchildren and a greatgrandchild.
Friends may call at John O.
Roth Funeral Home, Morgan
and William Streets, Tonawanda,
where services will be
conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday
by the Rev. Canon Alexander
Corti. Burial in White
Chapel Cemetery. Tonawanda
Lodge 247 will conduct a
Masonic service at 8 p.m.
Friday at the funeral home.
