The Rev. James C. Emerson officiated for the former Charlene Sue Vigrass, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert C. Vigrass of Newfane, formerly of North Tonawanda, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer F. Payne of Appleton. Maid of honor was Miss Carol Stolzenberg, assisted by Miss Beth Ostwald, Miss Susan Keyes and Karen Heschke, flower girl. Harold Stolzenberg, best man, was attended by David Payne, brother of the bridegroom, Robert Vigrass Jr., brother of the bride, and Richard Vigrass, another brother of the bride, ring bearer. The couple greeted relatives and friends at the Miller Hose Company, Newfane.

She was born in North Tonawanda on June 24, 1950, the daughter of Dorothy Ryan Vigrass and the late Robert Vigrass Sr. Charlene enjoyed camping and loved her dog and cats. Mother of Samuel Payne and predeceased by 2 infant brothers. Sister of Robert Vigrass Jr. and Richard (Connie) Vigrass. Also survived by nieces and nephews; Molly, Paul, Beth and Lori, Dear friend Linda and many extended family members. Family and friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on MONDAY March 25, 2019 from 3-7pm where a Funeral service will be held on TUESDAY March 26, 2019 at 11am.
