- Tina Abbo, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on January 3, 2025. She was born in Niagara Falls on September 3, 1971, a daughter of Joseph and Sharleen (Stanley) Abbo. Sadly, Tina and her sisters, Shelly and JoAnn parents passed away at a young age, Sharleen in 1988 and Joseph in 2010.
Tina was a graduate of the former LaSalle Senior High School in 1989. She furthered her education receiving her BA in Criminal Justice at Niagara University. She was employed as a corrections officer at the Albion Correctional Facility. Tina re-connected with the Lord. She was a devote member of Lighthouse Women and Children’s Center (Formerly the Magdalene Project). There and the Heart, Love and Soul Food Kitchen. She loved to volunteer, helping any way she was able. It was at the Lighthouse Women’s and Children’s Center where she met a dear friend and mentor, Joanne Lorenzo along with many other friends and associates.
When she was not working or volunteering, Tina enjoyed a good game of euchre or poker with family and friends along with an occasional outing to the casino.
She is survived by her two sisters, Shelly (Nino) Ramseyer; JoAnn (Gary) Bradley; stepbrother, Jason Wittcop; her dear niece, Nicole DiRamio and nephews, Dylan, Trevor and Chase Bradley; great niece and nephew, Bailee Mae and Brayden; aunts, Roberta Sitzman and Karen Rambach. She is also survived by many dear friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday January 7, 2024 from 4-6 PM at the Lighthouse Women’s and Children’s Center, 1910 Falls Street, Niagara Falls, where Joanne Loreno will conduct services for Tina at 6 PM. The interment will be private for the family.
