ACKERMAN - Emma A. Ackerman,
78, of 175 Keil St., North Tonawanda,
died Friday morning, May
29, 1953, in DeGraff Memorial
Hospital after a long illness. Wife
of the late Charles W. Ackerman.
she was a lifelong resident of
North Tonawanda. She is survived
by four daughters, Mrs. Sigfried
Noreenj Gromm, Miss Mildred Ackerman,
Mrs. August Robek, all of North
Tonawanda, and Mrs. Clarence L.
Braun of Silver Creek; three sons,
Arthur C. and I. Warren of Tona-
wanda, and Edgar H. of Kenmore;
a sister, Mrs. Hulda Selover of
Tonawanda; nine grand and several
great-grandchildren. She was a
charter member of Grace Lutheran
Church and the Ladies Aid of the
church. Funeral services were at
2 p.m. today in the Wattengel Funeral
Home, 307 Oliver St., North
Tonawanda. The Rev. Hermann B.
Miller and the Rev. Clarence L.
Braun officiated. Burial was in
Elmlawn Cemetery
