Christine A. Bach, age 66, of Wilson, died on Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Lockport Hospital, after an extended illness. Christine was born on May 1, 1948 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Francis and Marie (Ackerman) Bach.
She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. In her teen years, she traveled throughout Western NY with her sisters performing concerts as the gospel singing trio, "The Rhythmettes". They were accompanied by their father and entertained many people with their beautiful harmonies. She later graduated from Niagara County Community College with an associates degree in early childhood education. She was employed by Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara for over 20 years, assisting adults with developmental disabilities.
Christine was a very giving person and enjoyed making handmade items for everyone. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, always giving of her time and attention. She will always be remembered for her love of arts and crafts, especially sewing and cake-decorating. She loved playing board games and cards, reading, and watching movies, particularly westerns.
She is survived by her brother, Thomas Bach and wife, Amelia, of Wilson; three nieces, Dawn, Belinda, and Amanda; five nephews, Shawn, Timothy, Christian, Caleb, and Mateo; and several great-nephews and great-nieces. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Francine and Dawn; and brother, John Bach.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 5th, 2014 at 11:30 AM in the First Baptist Church of Wilson, 265 Pettit St., Wilson, NY with the Rev. Stephen Hay officiating. There will be no prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christine's name to Niagara Hospice Alliance, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
