- Patricia A. Garlock, 80, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017 at Roswell Park in Buffalo, NY. Born in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Paul A. “Peck” and Martha J. (Shadeck) Nashwinter.
Patricia moved to Niagara Falls with her family as an infant and later graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On August 25, 1956 she married her beloved husband, Allen H. Garlock, at St. Teresa’s Church. Patricia worked alongside her husband at Garlock’s Auto as a bookkeeper for over 42 years until her retirement in 1998. She was a longtime member of the FOE 1411 Eagle’s Club, St. Leo’s Church, the Town of Niagara Senior Citizen Center, and the Town of Niagara Yoga Program. In her leisure time, she enjoyed country-western dancing and traveling with her husband.
In addition to her husband of 61 years, Patricia is survived by her four children, Bernadette (Gary) Howarth, Daniel (Janice) Garlock, Allen P. (Tracy) Garlock and Kevin (Teresa) Garlock; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five siblings, Paul W. (Barbara) Nashwinter, Stanley (Carla) Nashwinter, Richard (Billie) Nashwinter, Michael (Monica) Nashwinter and Diana (Chris) Walp; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 8th from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 A.M. in St Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Memorial offerings may be made to Veterans Administration Hospital Buffalo, NY, 3495 Bailey Ave. Buffalo, NY 14215.
