  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 12/29/1965 ACKERMAN - Sgt. Richard A. Ackerman, USMC, 26, of Bur- ton, S. C., died unexpectedly Fri- day (Dec. 24, 1965) at Summerville, S. C. A native of Tonawanda, he was a graduate of Tonawanda High School (1958). He was a son of the late Mary Edna Ackerman. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; a son, Larry; a daughter, Lorraine; his father, Walter E. Ackerman of Tonawan- da, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ackerman of Tonawanda. and his sister, Mrs. Albert Wierling Jr. of Cheektowaga. Services for Sgt Ackerman will be in Detroit, Mich.
