  Niagara Gazette - 3/15/1957 TONAWANDA - Frank X. (Buttons) Knopf, 67, operator of Buttons Restaurant, 128 Main St., where he also resided, died today (March 15, 1957) to DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born to Buffalo, he resided to this city for the last 45 years and operated the restaurant for 21 years. He was a member of St. Francis Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary Kallin Kopf; a daughter, Mrs. I. Warren Ackerman, and a grandson, all .of this city. Prayers Will be said at 9 a.m. Monday at the Hamp Funeral Home, followed by Requiem Mass at 9:30 at St. Francis Church Place of burial was not announced.
