  Niagara Gazette - 8/31/1920 Sanborn. Aug:. 31.—Charles Townsend. 70 y e a r s of age, died Saturday, August 31, at the home of his sister-Mrs. Lorenzo Saddleson of Pekin, following a lingering illness. He had lived in and near Pekln much of his lifetime, and numbered a wide circle of friends. Surviving are one brother and one sister Morris Townsend of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Saddleson charge of Forest lodge 202 I. O. O. F., of which deceased was a member. Interment was in North Ridge cemetery.
