David C. Muck

NORTH TONAWANDA — David C. Muck, age 66, of North Tonawanda, died on Saturday, December 17, 2011. Born in Buffalo, NY, to the late Oscar and Dorothy (Wilke) Muck, he had been a lifelong resident of North Tonawanda, and was the brother of the late Donald Muck. David had been employed as a Draftsman for the Wurlitzer Company in North Tonawanda for 12 years. He then worked as a Designer for Brighton Tool and Die Design, Inc., in Tonawanda for 25 years, retiring in 2005. David was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in North Tonawanda, and was an active volunteer within the Eastern District, Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, in Williamsville, NY. He held many offices and positions in both the Church and the District. He was a passionate supporter of the International Lutheran Laymen's League in St. Louis, MO, where he held many positions including Governor, and International Treasurer. David also volunteered for the Buffalo Convention & Visitors Bureau.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ruth E. (nee Ophardt) Muck; a daughter, Lana Suzanne Muck of Arlington, VA; and his cousins, Norm Muck, Jean Dutton, Jerry Short, Marilyn Hrncirek, Ruth Cooper and Gladys Kenyon.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 3-6 PM ONLY at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), City of Tonawanda. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 22nd at 10 AM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 453 Old Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda. Friends invited. Rev. Karl W. Haeussler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. FLOWERS GRATEFULLY DECLINED.
