- Charles Fuhrmann Life story
Charles J. Fuhrmann, 89, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025. Born on August 3, 1935, Charles lived a full and meaningful life grounded in faith, service, and devotion to family. He was married to the love of his life, Pauline E. Fuhrmann, for 68 years, and together they built a beautiful family and legacy of love.
He is survived by his children: Charles Jr., Susan, Douglas, Brian (Stacey), and Paul(Julie); his grandchildren: Josh, Noelle, Samantha, Casey (Danielle), Brittany, Brandon, Hannah, and Cody; and his great-grandchildren: Landon, Callie, and Caden. Charles was deeply proud of his family and treasured every moment spent with them, especially enjoying time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Charles served his country with honor and dedication. After his military service, he worked at General Motors for over 30 years, where he was known for his strong work ethic and steadfast commitment.
Charles was also a devoted member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where he served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge, always finding ways to give back to his community.
Known for his warm personality and kind heart. He enjoyed playing golf, sharing a midday Manhattan, and, most of all, spending time with those he loved. His presence brought comfort and joy to many, and he was truly liked by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Charles will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, loyal friend, and a man of deep integrity and quiet strength. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3rd, from 10am-12pm, at the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME AND NIAGARA COUNTY CREMATION CARE, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007), where his funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, with Deacon David Slish officiating. Prayers of committal and entombment will follow, concluding with Military Honors, in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
