- The funeral of Eugene Tuttle 19, of the Falls boulevard, near St. Johnsburg, was held this afternoon from the home of the boy's aunt. Mrs John Bluhm, whom he lived and from the St. John's church in St Johnsburg. The Rev. Walter Thiemecke officiated. Burial was in St John's cemetery. Tuttle was instantly killed Tuesday night while walking along Ward road near the Niagara Falls boulevard on his way to a church Halloween party with three other boys. The four had their backs to traffic according the statement made to the state troopers by the driver of the car.
Paul Mittelstaedt, Ward road, Niagara Falls. Mittelstaedt said he was unable to see the boys against the glare of oncoming headlights. One other boy, Howard Siegmann, 13, of Pierce road, North Tonawanda, is in the DeGraff Memorial hospital with compound fractures of both legs. James Strassburg, 14, Ward road. North Tonawanda, suffered minor bruises of the left leg, but was able to be taken to his home after the accident. The fourth boy, Norman Richert, 15, Nash road North Tonawanda, was uninjured. Tuttle is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tuttle and a sister, Shirley, town of Wheatfield.
