Notes - Winifred G. Meade, 99, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, at the Wayne County Nursing Home.. Family services will be private. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lyons.. Winnie was born November 17, 1912 in Niagara Falls, NY, a daughter to the late George and Mathilde Fritz Neubauer. Winnie was an avid golfer, enjoyed quilting and knitting. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star.. She is survived by her son, Geffrey (Marilyn) Meade: one granddaughter, Leah Meade; two great-granddaughters, Danielle and Alivia Meade; one sister, Dorothy Albright; three nieces, Lynn (John) Falbo, Nancy Smegelsky and Robin Neubauer; one nephew, Donald (Hildi) Neubauer; and other extended family. Winnie was predeceased by her husband, Gerald R. Meade in 2000; son, Lee S. Meade in 1976; granddaughter, Victoria Meade in 2012; and three brothers, Richard, Lawrence and Roy N..
