Age 89, passed away on August 25, 2022. Born on October 20, 1932 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Caroline (nee Johannsen) Smith. Marge married Robert Baldwin on July 4, 1953 in Niagara Falls, NY. Besides her parents, Marge was predeceased by her husband, Robert, on December 17, 2000; her son, David, in June of 2003 and her grandson, Marcus, in April of 2014. Marge is survived by a son, Michael Baldwin (Diane) of New Hartford, NY; daughter, Kari Baldwin of Oregon; daughter, Linda Kaczmarek (Daniel) of Akron, NY; seven grandchildren, Michael Jr., Torrey, Nicholas, Matthew, Mitchell, Madison, and Amanda; two great-grandchildren, Kestrel and Amias and many nieces and nephews. All services were held privately with her family. Marjorie L. (nee Smith) Baldwin, also known as Marge, passed away on August 25, 2022. Born on October 20, 1932 in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Caroline (nee Johannsen) Smith. Throughout her youth, she lived on both sides of the border. Marge graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1950.
Marge married Robert Baldwin on July 4, 1953 in Niagara Falls, NY. After four years working as a stenographer at National Carbon, she left to devote her time to raising a family. Later in life, Marge re-entered the work force, and in 1989, she retired from the Niagara County Probation Department.
Besides her parents, Marge was predeceased by her husband, Robert, on December 17, 2000; her son, David (living, Nancy), in June of 2003 and her grandson, Marcus, in April of 2014.
Marge is survived by a son, Michael Baldwin (Diane) of New Hartford, NY; daughter, Kari Baldwin of Oregon; daughter, Linda Kaczmarek (Daniel) of Akron, NY; seven grandchildren, Michael Jr., Torrey (Zach) Fischer of Colorado, Nicholas, Matthew (Paige) of New Hampshire, Mitchell (Casey), Madison, and Amanda; two great-grandchildren, Kestrel and Amias and many nieces and nephews.
Marge enjoyed her family, friends and her home. She was an avid gardener with quite the green thumb and loved to read. One of her lifetime joys was Marge’s love of dogs, so she was never alone. Marjorie led an active life. Her family is thankful she was able to maintain her independence until the day the Lord called her home.
