NIAGARA FALLS - Edna M. Holland, formerly of 80th Street, Niagara Falls, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011 in Williamsville Suburban Nursing Home. She was 95. Born Edna May Brown on July 23, 1916, in Niagara Falls, the daughter of William and Mabel Brown. She was a lifelong resident of the city, attending schools here and working for Kimberly Clark during WW II. Mrs. Holland retired from Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in 1992, after twenty years at the age of 76. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church. Edna was always there for neighbors, friends and family. She had a very colorful personality always bring a smile with her honest wit. Above all her family was blessed with her unconditional love and her joy for life. She will be missed. Survived by her daughter, Carol M. Holland Bishara of Niagara Falls; two grandchildren, Ray Bishara of Niagara Falls and Drew Holland of Cuba, NY; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of twenty-nine years, Gustin Holland, in 1968; her son, William Holland in 2011; her twin sister, Ethel Mean; and her longtime companion, Jerauld Adams. Friends may call on Thursday from 4-6 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where services will be held at 6 PM with the Rev. Matthew Sorenson officiating. Interment will be private in Memorial Park Cemetery.
