- James Philip Rowles, age 93, of North Tonawanda, died December 9, 2015. Jim was born May 1, 1922 in Clearfield, PA. He was the son of the late Thelma and Commodore Perry Rowles. Jim came to NY after WWII, he often said NY was easy pickins after life in PA. He lived in Williamsville for many years before moving to North Tonawanda. During most of those yeas he worked for the Herbert F. Darling Co. Beloved husband of Joanne Rowles, father of Tom Rowles and Mark Werth. Brother of Mary Jane Rummings, Commodore Perry Rowles. And the late William and Lewis Rowles. Grandfather of Margaret Jane Rowles, James Philip Rowles, Charles Andrew Rowles, Brandon (Kristie) Werth, and Jilynn Werth. Great-grandfather of Allyson Jade Cornejo and uncle of several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc. 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Sunday from 3-7 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 A.M., the Rev. Karl Haeussler will officiate. Interment in White Chapel Memorial Park.
