The marriage of Miss Jean Barry
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Barry, of Wilcox street, Wilson, N.
Y.. and Mr. Howard Allen, of this
city, took place at 3 o'clock Saturday
afternoon, December 5, in the bride's
home. The marriage took place be-
fore the fireplace, trimmed with sil-
ver candle-holders and flesh-colored
candles, baskets of yellow, white
and orchid pompons.
The bride descended the stairs on
the arm of her father to the strains
of the wedding march played by her
uncle, Mr. John Earl McCormick.
The bride wore a blue wool dress
with wine accessories and an orchid
corsage.
Miss Shirley Barry, the bride's
sister and maid of honor, wore a
wool dress of yellow and brown ac-
cessories and a corsage of pink roses
and pink pompons.
Miss Helen Barry, the bride's sis-
ter and junior bridesmaid, wore
Dubonnet and her corsage was of
pink roses and pink pompons.
Mr. Richard Hollinger, of this
city, acted as best man. Mr. Ted
Forsti, of this city, was an usher.
The bride's mother wore a black
crepe dress with green accessories.
Her corsage was gardenias.
The bride's grandmothers were
present. Mrs. A. J. Barry wore a
wine dress with a corsage of orchid
and white chrysanthemums. Mrs. H.
J. McCormick wore a teal blue dress
with rust and white crepe on them.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen will reside at
2418 Cleveland avenue, this city.
Forty-three guests attended the
wedding from Pekin, Westfield,
Ransomville, Lewiston Heights, this
city and Wilson.
