DREWES - William T. Drewes,
61, died suddenly Wednesday, Sept.
10, 1952 in his home at 228 Lind-
say Place, North Tonawanda. A
lifelong resident, he was employed
as a chief draftsman for the past
43 years by the Buffalo Pumps,
Inc. He was a member of Grace
Lutheran Church, Tonawanda
Post No. 264 American Legion Co-
lumbia Hook and Ladder No. 1,
North Tonawanda Firemen's Ben-
volent Association. A World War I
Veteran he served in the U.S. Ma-
rine Corps and was wounded at
Chateau Thierry. He is survived by
his wife, Dorothy Allen Drewes;
two brothers, Christ of Dunkirk,
Louis of North Tonawanda; four
sisters, Mrs. Albert T. Schroeder
of North Tonawanda, Mrs. Helena
Patterson of North Tonawand,a
Mrs. Frank Perkins of Dayton,
Ohio, Mrs. John Malloy of Buf-
falo. Funeral services will be Sat-
urday at 2 p.m. in the Wattengel
Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St.,
North Tonawanda, the Rev. Her-
mann B. Miller officiating. Burial
will be in St. Matthews Cemetery.
