  Niagara Gazette - 9/21/1938 William J. Sklmln, 86 yean old and a resident of this city for 38 years, died yesterday in Buffalo where he has been making his home for 10 years. Mr. Sklmln was a former employe of the old Cliff Paper company and was well known in this city and vicinity. He was born in Brantford, Ont., and was the husband of the late Margaret Skimin. Surviving Mr. Skimin are the following sons and daughters, Edraond J., William A., Jacob V, and Andrew J. Skimin and Mrs. Gertrude Monan. all of this city; Mrs. P. J. Cather and Mrs. Mary Landers, both of Buffalo; Mrs. William Monan, of Blalsdell; Mrs. G. V. Allen, of Mount Vernon, N. Y.; George J. of Detroit, Mich., and a sister, Sister Mary Margaret of the Holy Redeemer of the Precious Blood convent in Toronto, Ont. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 8:30 o'clock in the Rhoney Funeral home, 1124 Ontario avenue, and at 0 o'clock in St. Teresa's church with burial in Riverdale cemetery.
