- John Eugene Miller, 64, passed away June 19, 2018. He was born June 20, 1953 in Lockport, New York, to Neil Miller and the late Shirley (Spoor) Miller.
John came to Sarasota in 1995 from Lockport. he was a member of Church of Hope and also formerly Shining Light Church. John was a family man who was dedicated to Children's Ministries. He was an avid collector of vintage toys and enjoyed reading, movies and fishing.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 36 years, Denise; children, Stephen Miller and his wife Jacqueline; Jonna Broadway and her husband Jacob; and Robert Miller; brothers, Bill Miller and his wife Michelle; and David Miller and his wife Christine; sister, Anne Miller; grandchildren, Jonah, Kalleigh and Tessa Miller, and Audrey and David Broadway; as well as a large extended family who will miss him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, June 28th at 11:00 AM at Church of Hope, 1560 Wendall Kent Road, Sarasota. There will be a visitation on Friday, June 29th from 6 to 8 PM at Maloney Funeral Home, 2401 Cattlemen Road, Sarasota, Florida.
