MEDINA - Mrs. Effie L.
Bowman, 84, of 514 West Center
St., wife of Charles R. Bowman,
died Saturday morning (June
22, 1968), after a long illness.
She was born Oct. 10, 1883 in
Middleport, a daughter of the
late Edward and Estella Robison
Alvord. She spent most of
her life in the Gasport area before
moving to Medina five
years ago.
Mrs. Bowman was a member
of Hartland Methodist Church
at Hartland.
Besides her husband, she is
survived by two daughters,
Mrs, Leila E. Turner of Medina
and Mrs. Charles Folk of
Reno, Nev.; two sisters, Mrs.
Clarence Harris of Lockport
and Miss Leila Alvord of Medina;
also four grandchildren and
seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the
Houseman Funeral Home, 228
Park Ave., Medina, where fu-
neral services will be held at 3
p.m. tomorrow. The Rev. Ed-
ward C. Hannay, pastor of First
Methodist Church here, will of-
ficiate.
Burial will be in Hartland
Central Cemetery.
