WEST LEYDEN - Mrs.
Edna R. Ammon, 46, of
Ammon Road, a native of
Rome, died Thursday. Dec. 14
in Rome Hospital where she
had been a patient since Nov.
22. She had been ill for two
and a half years.
Mrs. Ammon wis last
employed in the cafeteria of
the Adirondack Central
School. Previously she was
employed at Griffiss Air Force
Base and by Martin J. Nunn
Inc.. Rome.
She was born in Rome April
10. 1932. daughter of Edward
S. and Frances Smith Perry.
She lived in Rome as a child
and then moved to Ava with
her family. She attended West
Leyden High School.
She was married to Charles
E. Ammon Aug. 1. 1964 in
Rome.
Mrs. Ammon was a member
of the First Presbyterian
Church in Rome and attended
the Reformed church in West
Leyden. She was also a
member of the West Leyden
Volunteer Fire Department
Auxiliary.
Surviving are her husband;
her parents, in Ava; a
daughter, Linda Ammon, and
a son, Eugene Ammon, both
at home; three sisters, Mrs.
Russell (Elizabeth) Smith,
Floyd; Mrs. Vernon (Mary
Louise) Conover, Durham-
ville, and Mrs. Arthur
(Charlotte) Martzloff, North
Bay; and two brothers,
Edward E.S. Perry, New
London, and Frank Perry,
Ava.
Funeral services were held
Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Trainor
Funeral Home, Boonville,
witj burial in West Leyden
Cemetery.
Officiating clergy was Rev.
S. David Brettell, pastor of the
First Presbyterian Church,
Boonville. Interment will be
made in the West Leyden
Cemetery.
