West Leyden, June 25-Funeral
services' for Mrs. Mary Beha
Ammon, 72, who passed away at
her home in Washington, D. C,
were held here this morning at St.
Mary's Church. Rev. F. J. Connors
celebrated requiem high mass. Mrs.
Edna Kime sang during the mass.
The bearers were: Raymond and
William Beha, Eugene Ammon,
Stuart Kime. Interment was made
in the West Leyden cemetery.
Mary Beha was born in West
Leyden May 17, 1860 the daughter
of the late Matthew and Mary
Anna Wilbert Beha. She spent
most of her younger years here. On
Jan. 22, 1889 she was united in
marriage at Mohawk Hill with Henry
Ammon of this place. They lived
at Lee Center several years. About
twelve yeara ago she moved to
Washington, D. C. She was a devoted
wife and mother and had a
fine Christian character. She attended
the Holy Comforter Church
in Washington, she is survived by
her husband Henry Ammon, two
daughters, Ethel of Washington, D.
C, Mrs. Marion I. Buck of West
Point .one son Grover, one grandson,
Harry Junior both of Clayton,
one brother, John Beha -of this
place, one sister, Mrs. Thomas Entwistle
of Utica and several nieces
and nephews.
The remains were brought to the
home of her brother John Beha.
Among the relatives attending
tha funeral from out of town were

Ammon of Watertown; Mrs. Samuel
Kappler of Lea Center.
