  North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 5/6/1940 TONAWANDA, May 6.-John Andres, 84, died suddenly Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Gust Lobien, 116 Fuller avenue. Mr. Andres was born In Germany. He had been a resident of Tonawanda for the last 55 years. Besides Mrs. Lobien, he Is survived by three sons, Charles, a member of the Tonawanda police department; Fred, town of Amherst, and William, Chicago, and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2;30 o'clock at the Lobien residence. The Rev. Walter F. Hetzel will officiate and interment will be in Salem cemetery.
