LOCKPORT-The retired treasurer of the-Farmers
and Mechanics Savings Bank, Chester E. Andrews,
63, of 668 East Ave., died in Lockport Memorial Hospital
Tuesday (Dec. 20, 1966) after a long illness.
He was born in Pendleton
Feb. 20, 1903, the son of
Charles and Anna Bergman
Andrews, but had made his
home here for many years.
He was employed by .the
bank shortly after graduating
from Lockport Senior High
School in 1920.
He also attended the American
Institute of Banking and
later served on the board of
directors of the Buffalo chapter
of the AIB.
Surviving are his widow,
Mrs. Ethel Dixon Andrews;
a daughter, Miss Joyce E.
Andrews, at home, and a sister,
Mrs. Walter Lederhouse,
Gasport.
Friends may call from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gaul
Funeral Home, where services
will be conducted by Rev.
James C. Garner at 2 p.m.
Friday.
Burial will be in Cold
Springs Cemetery.
