Services were held Monday in
the Floyd Hess Chapel of Loomis
Offers and Loomis Funeral Home
on Main St. for Clarence H. Anner,
of Rosewood Terr., Lake View, a
retired dairy farm inspector for the
New York State Department of
Health, who died Sept. 12 in his
89th year.
The Rev. Howard J. Landes,
pastor of Lake View
Congregational Church, officiated
with burial in Lakeside Memorial
Park.
In 1923 Mr. Anner was employed
by the City of Buffalo Health
Department and served most of his
33-year career as an inspector for
that agency which was later taken
over by the county. At the time of
his retirement in 1956 he was
inspecting milk-producing farms
throughout Erie County.
A World War I Army veteran,
Mr. Anner was a member of Troop
I Post 665, American Legion and
Hiram Lodge 105, F & AM.
The husband of the late Clara
Strasser and Margaret Schmitz Anner,
Mr. Anner is survived by his wife,
the former Alice Cook, a son, William
C. Anner of Clarence, a brother, Fred
Anner of Buffalo, two sisters, Mrs.
Evelyn Notman of Agwam, Mass.,
and Mildred C. Anner of
Williamsville and a grandson,
Rodney Anner.
