ADRIAN George
Adrian, 99, of the Town of
Wheat field Friday (De
cember 2, 1983) at DeGraff
Memorial Hospital after a
brief illness. Mr. Adrian
was born In Hungary and
had been a resident of
the Town of Wheatfield for
the past 33 years. He was a
member of St. Joseph's
R.C Church
Husband of the late
Elizabeth Adrian, he is
survived by one son,
George (Ann) Adrian of
Batavia; a daughter, Mres
Michael (Elizabeth)
Arbelter of the Town of
Wheatfield; eight grand
children; eleven greatgrandchildren
and one
great greatgrandson; a
sister, Helen Flerstenfelder
of Hungary and many
nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday
and Sunday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the
Fretthold Funeral Home,
Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at
Ward Rd , North Tonawanda
where services will
be held Monday at 9:30
a m , followed by a Mass of
Christian Burial at St.
Joseph's RC Church at 10
a m Interment Mount
Olivet Cemetery Prayers
will be said at the funeral
home Sunday at 730
p.m.

Eighty-five-year-old George Adrian of 7306 Ward Road, North
Tonawanda, second from left, is pictured with his daughter,
Mrs. Michael Arbeiter of Ward Road; his grandson, Michael
Arbeiter Jr.; and his great grandson, Brian Arbeiter, 2 years,
who was born on Jan. 28 on Mr. Adrian's birthday. Mr. Adrian
lived in North Tonawanda from 1909 to 1921 when he returned
to his native Roumania. Caught behind the Iron Curtain, it was
not until 1950 that he and his wife were able to get out of that
country. Mr. Adrian operated two acres of a small farm and
drives a tractor. He has kept house for himself since his wife
died in 1958. He has a son, George Adrian of Batavia, seven
other grandchildren and three other great grandchildren. The
family group posed for this photo at a recent family gathering.
