Born on December 12, 1922 in the Town of Cambria, she was the daughter of Melvin and Doris Roberts Brewer. She was a homemaker and farmer's wife. Mrs. Bars was predeceased by her husband, John Bars, Jr.; her son, James A. Bars and two grandchildren, Jonathan Bars and Angela Sevenski. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Valley; grandchildren, Michael (Darlene) Valley, Michele (Kurt) Johnson, James (Karen) Bars and Jennifer Bars; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great- grandchildren. Friends may call on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery.
