Tonawanda, Mr. Lance
was a member of St.
M a r k ' s E p i s c o p al
Church, life member of
Sweeney Hose Co., and
life member of I he North
Tonawanda Firemen's
Benevolent Association.
A former Republican
committeeman, he was a
member of the Planning
and Zoning Commission
and was past master of
the Mansfield Grange of
Eddyville, N.Y.
He is survived by his
wife, Winifred ( n ee
Nicholson) Lance; a
daughter, Mrs. Mathias
(Gretchen) Arbeiter of
North Tonawanda; a son,
Stanley (Diana) Lance of
Tulsa, Oklahoma; three
grandchildren, April,
Heather and Mathias
Arbeiter Jr.; a brother,
William (Mary) Lance of
North Tonawanda and
two sisters, Mrs. Ellis
(Hazel) MacMiliian of
Niagara Falls and Mrs,
Gordon (Pearl) O'Grady
of North Tonawanda.
It was his wish to
donate his body to the
S.U N.Y.A.B. 'Medical
School for research.
Memorial Services will
be held at St. Mark's
Episcopal Church, Payne
Ave. and Tremont St.,
No. Tonawanda on Wednesday
(Feb. 18th) at 16
a.m., the Rev. Wayland
Thomas officiating. If
desired, memorials may
be made to St. Mark's
Altar Guild Memorial
Fund.
