Thomas “Tom” J. Wrobel passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. He was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y. on May 29, 1951 to the late Peter J. and Mary A. (Krysiak) Wrobel.
Tom attended Holy Trinity Parochial School and was a 1969 graduate of Niagara Falls High School where he was a star athlete and was named the Niagara Frontier Basketball League’s leading scorer.
Tom worked as a laborer for over 30 years at Airco Carbon, retiring in 2002.
Tom had numerous hobbies including softball, golfing and fishing. He was an avid follower of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Buffalo Bills.
Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna (DiVita), a daughter Stacey (Bryan) Dean and a son Louis (Janelle). Also survived by a brother Matt (Jean), Brother in law to Mary (David) Bacha, Teri (Bill) Fortier and Annette (late Rick) DiVita and was predeceased by his brothers Paul (Roseanne) and Peter. He is fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the proud Poppy to his grandchildren Kyle and Kendall Dean, and Avery Wrobel. He loved spending time with them and took extreme pride in watching and cheering them on at their various sports events.
This gentle, loving, caring wonderful man known for his long, entertaining stories has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed...Whoa!
There will be no prior visitation. Everyone is invited to attend a mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11: 00 a.m , St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, N.Y. with Rev. James Kirkpatrick officiating.
