- Obituary of Katherine A. Timko
Katherine Ann "Aunty" Timko, 64, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 after a long illness at home. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 3, 1954 she was the daughter of the late Michael and Irene (Krupa) Timko.
Katherine attended St. Stanislaus Kostka School and graduated from Madonna High School in 1972. She worked for many years as a nursing assistant at Niagara Geriatrics. Katherine lived at home with her parents, where she took care of them until their passing.
She was like a mother to her two nephews, Jack and Tim and was known as "Aunty" to everyone. Katherine's greatest joy was spending time with her great nephew, Maxum. She took care of him when he was a toddler well his parents were at work. She loved taking him to Beaver Island and Fantasy Island. Maxum called her "Tee" and the two of them were inseparable.
She is survived by her sisters, Barbara J. Timko and Susan (Alphonse) Michalewicz; nephews, Jack Stonebraker Jr. and Timothy Stonebraker and of course her great-nephew, Maxum Stonebraker, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Michael P. Timko.
Friends may call Thursday, May 9th from 6-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, cor of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 8:00 PM with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will take place at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Katherine's memory may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
